While studying for my master’s degree at the University of Arizona between 2005 and 2007, I developed this long-form video story about infrastructure development in Mexico in the state of Sonora, just south of Arizona.
Original reporting was conducted over the span of 10 days in 2006 with much help from colleague Eric Pavri. All interviews and b-roll were shot by me.
The quality of the video is poor because it was grabbed from the website of the local PBS station in Tucson. At any rate, this demonstrates my storytelling ability, “backpack” journalism skills and bilingual skills.
It also has dolphins.
